Chiranjeet (Bengali: চিরঞ্জিত), born 2 November 1960) is a Bengali Indian male actor and director in the Bengali film industry located in Kolkata, West Bengal. He is also a politician, and a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Government of West Bengal.
Chiranjit completed his Higher Secondary from Mitra Institution. He had studied engineering from Jadavpur University but did not appear for his final examination. He has worked for Desh Magazine, also as a newsreader on TV. He is also a famous stage artist. He is married and has a daughter.

Along with normal roles Chiranjeet was fully matched with action packed movies started also in Bengali film Industry since late 70's. In early 80's he came to prominence by three films in a row in the year 1982. 1) Asleelatar Daye(Followed by the novel written by Late Narayan Sanyal with same title), 2) Samarpita and 3) Antarale (Contains Bappi-Kishore's eternal hit bengali song Aaj Ei Dintake Moner Khataye Likhe Rakho in Chiranjit's lip. The first two films casted Alpana Goswami opposite him where the third one casted Moon Moon Sen as his heroine. With Moon Moon Sen he made another success in the movie Amar Kantak in 1986.
Beside Alpana Goswami and Moon Moon Sen, Chiranjeet acted with Debasree Roy (Mounomukhar, Hirer Shekal etc.) and Satabdi Roy (Maryada etc.) too. In 1996, Bhoy was successful under his direction and acting, co-starred Debasree Roy. His another successful heroine was Rupa Ganguly (Proteek, Toofan, Bariwali etc.). In the year 2000 he made another success with co-star Rituparna Sengupta in Bastir Meye Radha which also starred Rupa Ganguly in lead role.
Chiranjeet contested in the West Bengal state assembly election, 2011 in Barasat constituency for All India Trinamool Congress and won the seat. As of September 2011, he is a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Government of West Bengal.
